Logical, and really really dumb at the same time.

Had the same problem when driving my LHD car in the UK. Multi-storey car parks can be a PITA.

Easier answer, get easy pass.

I’ll never understand people who don’t have it.

Coincidentally, I ordered this t-shirt yesterday:

If you don’t live near (or frequent) toll roads, it doesn’t really make much sense. Every time I go on a road trip, I’m tempted by their whole “pay in advance and save 10%!” but I never get around to it. If I drove toll roads daily, I have no idea why you wouldn't use it, though.

I guess it depends how it’s done. Here you buy it for $15 and it comes with $10 worth of tolls. Then you just pay as you use it past that. I’ve had it for a few years, only use it a couple times a year, but it’s convenient.

But does it require that big barcode on your window, or is one of the little boxes you just mount to the windshield? Yeah, it sounds shallow, but I hate those barcodes.

I wish we would get a Federal Interstate standard though. I have an ezpass in my glovebox, but here in Texas they use a different, incompatible standard called TxTag.

Even when I didn’t use toll roads often the $25 ‘premium’ loaded box on the dash (or if you don’t use them often, in the glove box) seemed more than reasonable enough to buy into for convenience alone. But I get your point.

Oh man. I thought they got everyone on board. I know the full east coast has been linked to one another. Ugh.. government..

It’s a small sticker. I have mine on it behind the mirror. I never see it.

I would prefer the box though. Then I could keep in in the glove box and just take it out when I go through a toll.

Yeah, ezpass is widespread, but there are still like a dozen other types is use.

I don’t have an EZPass. I’ve even had someone remark “but you have an SL.” Laughs were had all around.
